Wild Ceramic Workshop

Discover the beauty of porcelain clay and this natural landscape. Joanna will guide you through the process of making your own unique tea light holder cast in the beautiful wildflower meadows of King John's Nursey in the high Weald of east Sussex. Booking is available through Greenfinch gallery. £55 per person, to include all materials and final firing. tea lights can be collected from greenfinch or posted at cost. Lunch is available at the nursery tearoom (payable locally).

Casting the landscape, Art takes nature as its model

Join Joanna Terry for a connected morning workshop where you will discover the beauty of porcelain clay and the natural landscape. After being greeted at theThe gallivant with refreshments you will head to Camber for a beach combing session. You will be invited to collect a few shells, driftwood and grasses to use to creature detail and texture in the porcelain clay. Using slab building techniques you will be shown how to assemble your clay to create a unique tea light holder. These will be fired by Joanna and posted back to you after the event.
